‘Good morning, Professor Rutherford. We are from Daily Prophet and we’re here today to give a few questions for you, reminded by the fact that you are a new Professor at Hogwarts.’

“Good morning. Yes, of course, go ahead.”

‘Can we start with your full name, Professor?’

Amaranthine Rutherford, but my peers prefer to call me Amara.”

‘Alright, Professor Rutherford. Where were you born and raised?”

Edinburgh. I was born on April 5th, 1986.”

‘Ah, another talented young Professor! Did you go to Hogwarts too, Professor?’

“Yes. I was sorted into Slytherin.”

‘I see. Another Slytherin pride for the Defense Against Dark Arts subject, how fitting. Is there any specific reason why you chose this subject?’

“I’ve always been interested in the subject itself since I wanted to be an Auror when I was younger, but it appeared that I’m better as a Professor. Besides, I don’t see myself teaching any other subject, they all require too much patience and too little strategy, in my opinion.”

‘Hahaha, and that’s a fascinating opinion, Professor! What do you think is your weakness when it comes to teaching? Fret not, this isn’t a question from one of your students.’

“That’s quite of a question to ask, don’t you think? I personally think that I have my flaws in teaching, perhaps in the aspect of my inability to bond personally with my students as much as the other teachers, but I’d like to draw a strong, hard line when it comes to that matter. It’s important for me to keep things professional.

‘And that’s quite of an answer, Professor. Let’s stray from our main topic for a bit, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?’

“I have no specific hobby if that’s what you’re asking. Say my life is boring like that but that’s the truth. I used to enjoy play Quidditch, then I also enjoyed writing, but I’m always changing according to my environment, mood, and situation.”

‘Fascinating indeed. I think that’s all the questions that we have for you for today, Professor Rutherford. Thank you for your time and good luck for the teaching.’

“Thank you for the kind wish.”
